check engine light

Hi I'm new here and apologize if I'm repeating a question. I have a 2002 Exp Sport 4.0L The check engine light came on the other day. I disconnected the battery for a while to see if it was a reset thing. That worked for a day. I did the same thing again. The light has been off for two days now. I was reading about the DPFE and was wondering if that may be what it was? I also changed the air filter(needed it anyhow). And I was also wondering if the humidity (+37 to +40 in Ottawa, Canada) would have anything to do with it. Thanks for anything you guys can tell me.

Welcome to the site, please take it somewhere to get it scanned for codes. By disconnecting the battery you are just simply clearing the memory. I'd recommend scanning it for codes so you know what the actual code is and what the remedy could be.
