It may appear to have nothing wrong, but if the CEL is illuminated, the computer has dedected a sensor operating out of range.

You need to have it scanned for code(s).

Good luck ....

My friend has the tool to scan the check engine light. But Where do you find out what the codes mean? I have the Haynes Manual btw.

the other day while i was working, i noticed my CEL came on, but when i turned the car off a few mins later, and restarted it, it was off, and hasnt come back on since. it couldnt have been detected the starter going, since its not electronic, could it?

Even if the light was on, now it's off, that code should still be in memory, so if you have it checked, you can figure out what's starting to go.

Some codes do not affect driveability....
