I just got my vavle gaskets replaced cause they were leaking oil, and causing it to smoke. Now there is still oil on teh engine and manifolds and all so it still smokes, what or how should i go about cleaning this, anything i can use, or should i just let it burn off?

Brake Kleen works extremely well and will not harm gaskets...etc.

I regularly clean my engine with simple green and a brush. Have not had any problems this way.

I do the same as Caddybill w regular cleaning. Simple Green is great and won't harm anything.
The reason I said BrakeKleen was, I recently had the front seals on my Volvo replaced after they continuosly leaked onto the blok,manifold... and my mechanic showed me a cheap trick..BrakeKleen. took off the oil dried clean and quickly.
Hey, CaddyBill, have you noticed how Simple Green leaves a whit residue on the hoses, I just spray a little aArmorAll and it goes away, just curious..

Never noticed the residue. I'm not too concerned with detailing it. I just hate to have it all dirty. I actualy cleaned the engine this past weekend because it was dusty.
