hello, i've got a 2004 explorer, with a 4.6 185xxx km's. From my understanding (which is pretty vague) they run 2wd until they sense whatever that kicks them into awd. Now, when i'm driving down the highway just steady speed it seems like its kicking in and out of something, or somethings slipping. It's pretty aggressive, now i don't know if it has anything to do with the 2wd/awd system, which i don't fully understand. It seems to usually happen when its snowing, which leads me to believe its caused by the lack of traction, and its simply kicking into AWD, but why so aggressive, is this normal ?
