Alright drove up to Tahoe last night. Once i got up around 5,000 feet above sea level by clutch pedal dropped, and i had trouble taking in and out of gear. Had to double clutch it to get it in and out. A little worried got to head home tomorrow, 300 plus miles. I got a 4x4 2001 ranger 5 speed, clutch has around 60k on it. Everything operated great at sea level, the clutch is old but it still worked no problems. Any ideas?? Can high altitude effect a worn clutch, and make the symptoms worse?

YES ! the temp drop could cause problems. Brake Fluid can adsorb lots of water.. then in the cold weather it can freeze and cause you these Problems..
If you have a bleeder valve in the trans slave cylinder area you can replace the fluid with NEW !! but, the ex needs to be in a warm barn or garage. If no bleeder valve like some.. don't know what to tell you.. you are home by now and warmed up so do this anyway..
