Hi everyone! new to the site. Looking forward to the knowledge I am sure to gain from everyone. I recently purchased a '97 Sport 4x4 with the SOHC engine. I am having an issue with it. When I cold start it there is a nasty rattle/tapping coming from under the hood. Almost like a pebble caught in a blender. It seems to be coming from either the top/rear or bottom/rear of the engine. It's very worrisome. The noise seems to disappear after the engine has warmed up. It runs seemingly fine after that. could this possibly be the infamous tensioner problem I have read about? I am new to the Ford SOHC V6 so I am at a loss to waht it could be. Any help would be truly appreciated. Thanks
