Cone filter

Does anyone know if I can just put a cone filter on my stock tube, just removing the stock air box. The tube that comes with the intake kit doesn't look much different but alot more $$$. If so where can I just get the filter? Oh yea, 97X 4.0L

Ya you can, thats what I am doing, I got a link from some one this site for a KKM filter, you should check it out!!
