I am working on my sisters 98 explorer with the 4.0 SOHC motor, had the problem with the timing tensioners breaking apart. While I had the motor out I decided to put in new main and rod bearings since the the motor has 150,000 on it. My question is that my Haynes manual states the the rod bolts are one time use but I have not found any for sale. When I ask the Ford dealer they do not list as one time use. The Haynes manual list a torque of 163 in-lbs then an additional 90 degrees. Does anyone know if these are reusable or not and if this is the correct torque spec.

Yes they are reusable and torque spec is 15 lb-ft and then 90 degrees.
