I duno if the pic is gona work, but if it does what do you think? I hope that Rick doesnt mind that I had to borrow his photo and alter it a little. Mabye one of you crazyies will beat me to the punch and warm up the Saw-zall before me. I am thinking of doing this in way long term plans but reatining the top and fabing custom doors, simialar idea to a jeep wrangler, only better. That way I would have a removable top.Dead Link Removed

pic doesn't work - I'd like to see your concept though. :smoke:

That pic is pointed towards your hard drive.

Somewhere there was a picture floating around of a very stock looking "97ish grey sport that somebody chopped the top. It looked very sharp.

send me the pic and ill post the link or if you have it in a file manager on the web somewhere just post the path.

Never thought I'd find these on my hard drive. Glad I saved them. :)

I don't know the story on this Explorer, but I did find the pics here. Maybe somebody can explain. I would like to know how the rear tail gate is hooked up.

SSSSHHHHWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEET !

I love it . Wish I could do the same . Maybe in a few years ?:p

I think I fixed it, let me know if you can see it now. Hey I like the picture of the chopped explorer!

wow. that is a beach buggy waiting to be built. i love it.

So, any suggestions? Like my artwork? he he, pretty sloppy huh? Im thinking that mabye the bottome pat of the tailgate could hinge down like a real tailgate and mabye bedline the cargo area. make some fiberglass half doors and retain the stock doors for use with a removable top?

Raceit,

I bet that Explorer was a light roll over. I also noticed that it has a Limiteds grill instead of reparing the top cut it off.

SWEET

Sign me up for that!! Better then a jeep wrangler!!!

Convertable

Those pictures were taken at the Bandlands ORV park in Attica Indiana at the 2001 Superlift 4xAdventure Series in April. We tried to contact whomever built this convertable during the raffle on the last day, but nobody came forward as being the owner. It was a shame because a lot of people were interested in it.

How do you think he did the rubber part up at the top of the winshield? Looks pretty sharp and cleanly done.
