Hello laides and gents, I have coolant leaking from a small hole on the engine, driverside, behind the water pump. I believe this is the timing cover but what can cause this, more or less should there be a small hole?

Most likely it's the gasket between the block and the timing cover. The paper gasket is very narrow around the coolant passages at the top and falls apart because of heat cycles and stress caused by the weight of the fan and the belt. Very common failure of the 5.0L.
The repair is definitely not fun, but doable. Search this forum and you'll find a lot of details.
If you go for it, I'd recommend using a metal gasket, like I just installed a few months ago. Hopefully, I can still find where I got it from.

I have the same problem but I have the 4.0 ohv V6. I used "K Seal" that you pour into radiator and it stopped finally after a few weeks of it being in. It's $15 at advance auto parts. My leak was pretty bad

If it's on the water pump housing itself (a weep hole) you might just need a new water pump & coolant flushed/replaced.

Where exactly is it coming from? Can you get a picture of the leak?
