I want to splice in a tee fitting so I can hook up a water hose to back flush my coolant system. Does anybody know which hose to splice into ?? I would think it would be a return line to the radiator ?

Thanks Chuck

Just the oposite. Those kits are ment to "back flush" the system. The T usually goes in the heater hose running to the heater. Start the engine cold with heater and fan set to high. The hose that gets hot first and is the hottest is the correct one.

I think I will do what the manual says. Since I am changing the thermostat, I will take out the thermostat reinstall the housing and then disconnect the upper rad. hose at the radiator and put the water hose in the radiator to back flush. The hoses have never been changed and I have 160,000 miles. I have been told they don't need to be changed unless they look bad.
