over the weekend i did a coolant change and flush. the fittings that go into tank where leaking a lil so i tightend them a bit and it stop so i was happy! now my passenger side of the radiator leaks only when it getn warmed up never when pressure it built up. should i replace it or just what im goin to have to deal with. before the radiator was never low just the dry coolant tank/washer fluid would always be empty but the radiator was never low. is there something im missing?

bump now my radiator gets low and so any ideas on what to do cuz im low on funds.

If your radiator leaks then there's only one correct thing to do - replace it. The stock radiators use a metal body with plastic tanks and tend to develop leaks around the crimps on either side.

You can buy some of those "stop leak" products that are sold in parts stores, but those are more trouble than they're worth and can end up causing more damage than they fix.

ok b4 i could go weeks b4 i needed to add coolant now it a couple of days. Geuss goin to a pick and pull to get a radiator. They test them b4 u leave.

I have a 94 ex . put in a brand new radiator from advance auto .
It leaked at bottom radiator hose (drivers side ) . tryed to tighten
hose clamp . but it still slow leaked (engine warmed up) . Took
radiator back out . Had it pressure tested . found out it leaked
at bottom of radiator ,where plastic tank crimps to core. since it
was only 7 mo. old . I took it back to advance auto . They replaced it
no question asked . this was the problem . No more leaks.
that sealer stuff is worthless . It does cause more problems

cant wait to get a new one. might have a buddy that has one with a warrenty and he might get it for me so i can have warrenty on it when i get it.

Ok today i replaced the cooling sending unit again. what would be the chances of the old new one to go bad?

There's a coolant temperature sending unit and a coolant temperature sensor. If you've replaced the sending unit already and your temperature gauge still doesn't work, replace the sensor. The sensor is directly across from the sending unit towards the drivers side.

it worked great for about a week then started acting up so i replaced it after being annoyed with what it was doin so i bought another one and it works again now. i have one out of my 88 mustang i might put in for the sensor and if that dont work then i will fork the 20 buck out for it. thanks again
