Hello, I just joined up and have a question. I have a 06 Explorer with the V6 with 52K miles on it. I bought it a couple months ago and the radiator has developed a small leak from what looks like the lower tank area. I bought a new radiator and was going to install it. Figured I would change the coolant while I had it out. I have a bunch of Delo Long lift coolant from work that I use every day. It is a eythelene (sp?) glycol fluid that has the additive already in it. Is this compatible with the 06 Ford Explorer? Thanks JJ

DO NOT use the "red" antifreze use the green. The owners manual for my '08 says not to use the red (dex-cool).

Actually, you can't use the red, the orange, the green, the pink, OR the blue.

What you need to use is Gold.

Since I had my third radiator in the 2006 EB, the dealer suggested I have the anti-freeze changed ? If they replaced the radiator three times, I'm sure it should not be a problem. They want $100.00 for the change.

Thanks for the replies. I will go to Ford and pick it up. I tried my local auto parts store and the guy behind the counter tried to sell me some green that is OK to put in all coolants. I did not trust it so I have yet to change the radiator out.
