Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all doing well. Noticed before that I had radiator fluid near my exhaust. Tried the Prestone sealant and drove it around yesterday to see if I was leaking and it seemed fine. Today turned it on and moved to a new spot and could see green radiator fluid pouring out of a coiled line just above the exhaust. Any thoughts on what this line is or anyone know where I can find a detailed diagram of the undercarriage of an 08 Explorer?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Quick update: Took it out today for a drive. First think I noticed is that when the engine temp went up the amount of radiator fluid being lost increased. It got to the point where it was coming out like steam under pressure. Once I turned off the cabin fan, it stopped. Turn on the fan, it starts to leak again. Thought to myself that I found the problem (just don't turn on the fan and roll down the windows).
Took it for drive on the highway, after 30 min engine temp started to rise and could hear the radiator fan working overtime. Had to stop several times to let the engine cool off. The overflow tank seemed pretty full but seems it's clogged as the radiator was bone dry when eventually added more fluid to it. Got home just in time for it to overheat again.
