I have a 4.0 2002 that is running just fine but occasionally will stall while stopped at a light etc. It is idiling around 700rpm. What should the correct idle be and where do you access it to set it? I feel it is just a bit too low.

I was thinking around 750 rpms sound right, like 740 maybe? have not done it maunally, but usually on throttle body cable end stop there is a set screw, adjust it. or, buy an SCT tuner and set it in the PCM wherever you want it.

I think your IAC needs to be cleaned or replaced. That is probably why your stalling when coming to a idle.

Do you use a carb cleaner to clean the IAC or brake cleaner or what? Mine needs to be cleaned or replaced too
