my SOHC's chains are rattling again, but this time I get a cam position sensor code, I erase it and a few miles later it comes back again.
the chains make noise only at startup and usually quiets after a couple of minutes, then stays quiet. I have repalaced everything twice already.
the sensor and wiring seems ok, the engine runs great but the check engine light keeps on buggin me.
the only logical explanation I can think of is that the timing fluctuates when the chain is loose and this sets the P0340 code, if the sensor was faulty the engine should quit but in this case it runs great.
any thoughts guys? TIA
