Where is this sensor located on 1995 explorer xlt 4.0 ohv 6 cylinder

back of the motor, near the firewall, and not fun to reach

Wouldn't that be the Camshaft position sensor? I figured the crank sensor was the one attached to the front of the engine pointed at my crankshaft pulley. It has the metal ring with the notches like an ABS sensor. Or am I thinking of a different sensor?

whoops! sorry about that, yea, the CAM sensor is in the back

No worries. And you're right. That cam sensor is in a bear of a spot. With the M5OD out of ours? I can actually get to that sensor. I'm tempted to replace it while I can see it...
