Hello all,

First time posting. However, I've been stalking your posts for a while now. Today I replaced my 02' Mountaineer's stock struts and upper control arms with new ones. Unfortunately, after several hours of work, I drove my Merc and it was really bouncy and a lot of oversteer. I feel like it would roll if I turned too aggressively. Do you have any idea why it would behave like this?

:us:

Thanks!

Finch

nope. I didn't remove any of the steering components, so I didn't think I would need one. I pulled the arms and the struts and replaced with the new ones.

Think that's it?

Control arms affect alignment, that's why they have the shims. Definitely get an alignment

me=stupid.

I'll get one and let you guys know.

Thank you.

it's not stupid,, most people just don't know that is all,

i made the same mistake when i replaced my upper arm. Thought it wouldn't affect the alignment until i took it in for an alignment and all the red went to green.
