Well, I done gone f-ed up my truck. Went wheeling at PAP yesterday, and got hung up (goooood) on a stump. ended up bending the cross member that supports a section of the driveshaft, and the universal was grinding into the bottom of the cab. I need a new piece, I don't think it can be straightened. Anyone know of any sites that may carry this, or is it possible to get a one peice driveshaft made up to completey eliminate this?
Thanks,
Shaun

I take it you have a supercab, and a two piece driveshaft. Have you tried bending it back, at least for now? Maybe find a scissors jack, or a portapower.

I think I may have to give it a try, not sure how, b/c I do not want to put any pressure on the bottom of the cab, but I may try a big a$$ pry bar tomorrow, thanks for the advice.
(ps, stay away from tree stumps:) )

Jack or prybar, just put a block or two of 2X6 between the tool and the bottom of the cab, and it should work.

I would definitely go with a one piece driveshaft if I were
you...when I first got my truck (97 ranger) I put on a 4"
superlift and had a nasty vibration from the driveshaft
and a one piece shaft cured all my problems.
I've got 9" of suspension lift now and still no probs with
the drive shaft, now my front driveshaft is another story.
As for getting one made, i don't know of any shops on
the east coast but out in the west I know Tom Woods
driveshafts are highly respected.
I believe tomwoodsdriveshafts.com is the addy, if not
try a search...good luck

Thanks guys, I getting one from a 98+ ex cab tomorrow, then hopefully be out at Paragon this W/E. Lizardtrac is gioving me a hand, now I think I'll have to keep an eye out for a spare.
