I recently replaced a dash light that went out by the tach. When I reassembled everything the cruise control light did not come on when the cruise control was used. I did not do any work on that side of the gauge. So before I take it all aprt again I wondered if anyone has any ideas what happened.

Peanut, I think it's obvious. You touched something.

Just retrace your steps and make sure everything is in tight and has a good connection. then test it while the dash it still apart. Drive down the street with just enough screws to keep your dash from falling off while you drive. Once your happy that everything works, you can finish putting it back together.

P.S. - Check the forum if you want to replace the bulbs with LEDS. I hear they can last a lifetime, and you will probably never ever have to change your dash lights again.

Well I took the dash apart again and found the problem. Turns out that the bulb was burned out and it just happened to be at the same time I put it back together. Gotta love Murphy's law. Good thing is thanks to to this site I got it down to a half hour in taking the gauge cluster out.
