Hey gang,
So my D pillar's paint was chipping / faded etc upon purchase...no surprise for age of vehicle. Did half way prep and put Rustoleum textured black on them...which is now peeling after just a year....so instead of sanding both sides down to bare metal with tight corners / trim to deal with etc ---then prime / paint / clear coat I've cut / made a single template piece out of ABS textured plastic sheeting..... cool stuff. This post is a bit premature being I haven't perfected the curvature of piece with added heat --- thinking of using different heat source to get it spot on ---then apply them with silicone / adhesive.
Let me know what you think and if you might be interested in a pair -- I'll just want inexpensive reimbursement for material and ground shipping. Excuse poor photo. / sample rig at junkyard for reference
