hey guys i was just wondering if any of you have some ideas for a custom box for my 99 explorer sport. my goal with it is to keep it as close to the seats as possible. i had already come up with some external measurements that people said would require internal bracing. i need some ideas for either a different box design or about how to brace the box. It is going to be for 2 RF he subs. the measurements i came up with were 41in wide, 15 in high and 10.5 inches deep(external dimensions).

any help would be appreciated

the best bracing is by giving each subwoofer a seperate chamber. make sure they have equal airspace.

'if i were you' i'd just buy a box, it's not worth the effort of building one, and unless your mom is Bob Vila and your dad was Einstein, you might have trouble matching the sound quality of an engineered subwoofer box. The people who make them do it for a living, to make your music sound good...and save you time

Don't let that stop you. If you take your time, get all your measurements right, and build it carefully, it should sound just as good as a box.
