customising headlight housings for 2011+ explorers

I was trying to buy a set of donor headlights off ebay to do a retrofit for my 2014 sport and the listing all say that they won't fit does anyone know why I'm trying not to experiment with my stock housings just yet

Can't really say why they don't fit the Sport as I'm not aware of the difference. Main thing is the Sports are blacked out? Other than that, no clue.

They will fit the sport fine if they fit the other models. The difference is purely aesthetic between the two
