I have read several articles where people replace the c-clip on the axle u-joint with a snap-ring (that surrounds the entire u-joint cap). Sometimes, they also grind out the inside of the yokes, to enable the snap-ring to fit.
I am considering doing this when I rebuild my Dana 35 this spring.
Questions:
- has anyone done this (with success)?
- does anyone know the part numbers of the c-clips?
- any other comments/ideas?
