dash lights blink explorer wont start.

hi i have a 2006 ford explorer xlt. now for the story, other night the abs light came on and the trac control would kick in etc.. had it tower 3 miles to the house. tore apart the drivers front wheel bearing knowing it was going bad awhile ago. today me and my son in law went to put the new wheel bearing in. he disconnected the battery and an hour later we were lower the car to try it out. hooked the battery up and the explorer wouldnt start. dash lights blinking, theft led was rapidly blinking. well after trying the battery in his truck in the explorer and checking wires we tried it again. still nothing. put my battery back in and by chance it started up. drove it for about 10 miles. most of the time the dash blinked(the information center part)on and off. finally it stayed on like it should. parked the car and tried to restart it. wont start again. tried disconnecting the battery for a bit. locking the doors and unlocking them with the key pad. all failed attempts. dash lights and info center still blink on and off. i did just noticed if i lock the doors and unlock them it will start but the dash still acts up. any and all advice would be great. thanks in advance also i have tried our spare key and it does the same thing with both keys. thanks again

just to let everyone know. for odd reason the issuse stopped and all is back to normal with it now. it corrected itself a day later for no reason. thanks anyways.
