I know that the daytime lights run off of the high beams but at lower power...now the high beam light indicator is on in the dash and they are at full power. this happens when the auto lamp is on and when i turn the headlights knob to on, the highbeam light goes off ...also after a while of driving the indicator light flickers then goes off...so I am wondering if it is a bad relay, fuse or the whole GEM module. :(

I don't thinks it is a GEM issue. Its more likely an MFS problem.

mfs?

not sure what this is....but it could be the daytime running light module according to the dealer...but I am not sure where this is...

Multi function switch is what he meant.

Daytime lights

My daytime lights were not turning off when my engine was turned off. I removed the fuse of the daytime lights. I still need to bring my car to my mechanic to check the problem.

I might be a solution for you.

The box should be by the headlights....looks like a small audio amp with fins. Wiggle the connections on it.
