I have a 99 LTD with flickering daytime running lights. If I turn on the headlamps as normal, all is okay. Any ideas?

check the DRL Module, it may be loose. It is located under the front bumper on the driver's side.

3 Vancouvers in a row...wow!

Anyways, check to see if the connector is loose, If you do not even want them you can unplug the connector.

You can't just unplug the DRL module if you don't want running lights, your headlights won't work. I wanted to disable my running lights so I had to get a plug which completes the circuit. It is only like $10 from the dealer.

same problem...

I had a similar problem...compounded with the fact that sometimes the headlights stayed on (autolamp never shut off). Turned out it was the GEM module that was the malfunction.
cheers

Thanks guys... Will check it out and let you know :chug:
