So sometime in the near future, whenever I find the time, I'm going to do plugs and wires on my 05 Sport Trac. I was thinking about possibly putting some de carbing fluid into the cylinders and turning the motor over a little to move it around before I put the new plugs in. For those of you who may not know, de carbing fluid is a spray that will remove any carbon deposits in an engine. I work mostly on boats, and live by the stuff, it's amazing how quickly carbon builds up. My only concern is that I could possibly damage one of the emissions sensors when the unburnt carbon actually does burn off, as it normally creates a pretty good cloud of white smoke. Has anyone ever tried this before?

wouldn't seafoaming it be doing the same thing? Just pour it in the oil and run it for a about 30 miles before an oil change. That doesn't seem to bother the sensors (o2's at least)

You put seafoam in the oil? I thought that that was a gasoline additive.
