Dead For the 1st time!!

Need some help!! Wife left work, started fine...went to a dinner for work...2 hours later there was enough juice to unlock the doors and that was it. Put jumpers on and it had juice but woudn't start. Small turn overs followed by clicking. Let jumpers sit for awhile, but had the same reaction. Is this the case of... the battery was starting the x until it completly died and now I have a dead battery and a bad altenator? Or should I be looking somwhere else? HELP

I'd probably replace both the battery and the alternator, and while at it it might be a good idea to do battery cables, they are notorious for going bad after a few years...

Don't replace anything until you have hecked the battery cables; take em off and clean then. Further, did you have the batteru checked? If not, I would do that too.
