That is a good recommendation. When I had my Winter wheels put on there was a notice printed on the invoice which stated;
**Following any wheels installation or tire rotation, it is the customer's responsibility to have the wheels re-torqued within 160 kms.**

This was also conveyed to me years ago by a tire shop. They did not charge to have the subsequent service done.

Actually, I consider that any shop that does NOT do it this way is not doing the job PROPERLY. Very few shops have done it this way, but that seems to be improving as they are having to deal with more knowledgable customers.

A DIY job will get done properly 10c0 percent of the time. A professional job might get done properly, say, 10 percent of the time! (are you feeling lucky today, sir! )
It is sufficient, after the wheels have been installed, to drive around for 10 minutes, then return to the shop for the re-torque. That's the compromise the local shops use, and that works for me.

Having said that, I would guess that any tire shop would do this if you simply asked them to.

The paperwork stated this as well that came with my 2015 F350 purchase. My last set of tires, they stated in print, come back within 100 miles and then come back within 500 miles to have them torqued (two mileage requirements because my previous truck had over 100k miles otherwise it was just 1 time at 100 miles).
