I just had to take my 14 Ex Sport in for service do to a Elec problem (battery had dead cell) and my rear DVD player was not working. I had to think long an hard about putting it back to stock tune but I did not.

Just got a call from dealer car is ready and nothing about the livernois tune was noticed.

All the work was covered under warranty.

Its usually hard enough to get them to do what there supposed and a getting them to go something beyond that requires a miracle. The only issue would be if there were an updated stock tune that required a reflash and they performed that. You would just loose the tune you had in it but depending on who's tune you had that wouldn't be an issue either.

They don't typically look for things like tunes unless there is a warranty claim that could be related to such. Most Ford dealers are pretty good about this.

With that said, I would expect that to change in the near future. Audi already scans most cars that come in for service, and flags it in their system if it has a tune ("TD1" designation) or asks the dealers to enter manually if certain other powertrain mods are present. I would expect other manufacturers to follow suit as the landscape is changing. The technology to detect engine tuning is much better than it was even a few years ago, and engine tuning is more prevalent with such a large number of vehicles with some form of forced induction from the factory.
