i have a 04 explorer with a manual heating box. i just replaced the blend door actuator cause the gears stripped out. now it has heat and a/c. but the other problem is the faces vents work fine but when i put the floor vent on the defroster is on too and when i put the defroster on the floor vent are on its always in the mix mode. well i found the vacuum motor that controls the defrost door from opening and closing (yellow vacuum hose) and found that the little lever that attaches the door to the motor is broken on the door end. my question is where can i get one cause it really looks like it is its own peice alone. not molded with the door cause you wont be able to get the door in the box with it. it has a part number 1L2H-19D640-A. ford said they cant get it without buying the heater box for $226.00. does anyone have one to sell or know where i can get one. i bouight a blend door kit and it isnt included so it is a separate part from that kit.. help would be very nice. ford is useless in this problem. either they can get the $1.00 part and dont want to sell it with out the box is what im thinking. this is a link to a picture of the part. someone else has had the problem too. http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f101b48/139
