I have the standard 5.5-inch lift on my X. It works just fine. The superrunner is a steering system upgrade. The 4x4 shop does not recommend the upgrade on Explorers. Extended radius arms will increase suspension articulation.

why it was then manufactured ? many X Offroader have the set to !

Quotation from Homepage --> "Standard kits utilize longer radius arm brackets that replace the stock pieces. The Superunner series replacement radius arms are considerably longer than stock offering caster correction and additional benefits" Now my Question: How much those are longer ?

The superrunner setup is basically for someone who actually plans to use the suspension lift. The Standard system gets you the same amount of lift, but is more for the look. Basically if your always going to drive on the road, the standard setup should work fine for you.
If you plan to go off road, and want the extra 'flex' or articulation, the superrunner system is for you.

I'd say at least a foot longer. They make the stock radius arm look pitiful, and they are.

I am not an extreme offroad driver !

I just wanted to dispell a myth or two. The main purpose of a suspension lift is to allow larger tires. Extreme suspension travel is important for rock crawling and desert racing. Traction devices (lockers or limited slip) are more important than suspension travel in most off road situations. Regearing to compensate for larger tires is much more important than a little bit of flex. The standard superlift kit (without extended radius arms) is a entry level lift. If you want to cheaply increase suspension articulation unhook the anti sway bars. If you are looking for extreme suspension articulation do not waste your money on Superlift, go straight to the a solid axle swap.

If you occasionally wheel in moderatly challenging terrain a simple 5.5 inch lift is adequate, spend your extra money on traction devices and lower gears.

"rear axle relocation" --> What it means ? SOA ? Is the Superunner System (set with rear axle relocation Kit) for Explorer with Spring over Axcle (SOA) or Standard Axcle, Spring under Axcle? Which System is for under Axle Spring ? Is the Superlift Standard System whith new Rear Springs ? Are Half shells for the rear axle (SOA) including ? Oh, oh many questions.

Yes, the rear spring over axle conversion is standard for the basic kit. Spring over axle relocation lifts the vehicle 5.5-inches. The front therefore has to be lifted 5.5-inches as well. The 5.5-inch lift uses stock rear springs and axle. It is a simple modification.

A 4-inch lift will replace the rear springs and retain the spring under the axle.

If you use the search button "5.5-inch superlift" on this site you will find lots of information and pictures. It should answer all your questions.

Thanks unclemeat, I have now already many information together. I spent much time with reading here. Which I must change around to drive larger Tires for example 35x12,5R15 ? I would change my Stock Gear Ratio in the Rear from 3.73 LS (3L73) to 4.56 and in the front ??? I have a Dana 35 Axcle in the front.

Front and rear axle gear ratio must be equal. I have 4.56 and 33s. It is just a little better than stock power (3.73 with 235x75s). A 35-inch tire may be better with a 5.13 axle gear ratio, if you off road or tow often.
