is there a big difference in the regular 5 1/4 inch long perches vs mountain offroad 7" perches? they say anti warp for the 7". do u guys think it is worth that extra 30 bucks just for perches? anyone bought those mountain offroad perches before?

I would not pay the extra $30 for the longer perches. Unless you were running serious horsepower, I wouldn't think you'd need the longer perches. And I cannot recall anyone having axle wrap problems that did not have a heavily modded Ex...

thanks for the info. just wanted some input.

Have you done the SOA mod yet? Did you just get perches for a 3" axle tube and grind them out or did you find ones to fit the 3.25" axle? Also, did you do the SUperlift to compensate or are you just running on a Torsion Twist? I'm thinking that SOA would only run 2-3" difference between my front and rear wheels.

Does anyone have a pic of what a 2nd gen X looks like with SOA and a TT?

to me it would look ugly, since a 2" tt is your Max..... Unless you are 2wd, than you can get as much lift as you want....

so 5.5" in rear, 2" in fron, thats 3.5" difference, it'll just look ugly if you ask me
