Hey guys,
1998 SOHC V6

So I’m going to be making the explorer more of a green lane truck. Mud trails and some small rivers.

Before I’m changing the front diff and rear diff oils can anyone tell me the correct gear oil for the front and rear differentials.

I’m going for a torsion bar twist and rear shackles with some 265/75/16 big horn mud tyres. Any advice for my journey in making a medium terrain off roader but still road worthy is much appreciated I am tempted for the body lift too but that will come in the summer. I have access to Ramps/four posters so that’s not an issue ‘’I’m a mechanic’’

So yeah I’m from UK so parts a bit harder to get quickly so getting everything together now.

Cheers

75/140 for the rear. Add the friction modifier if you have a limited slip.

75w90 or 80w90 for the front.

I’d run synthetic for both.
