OK, get ready to laugh at me.

The reason that my Explorer sat at the campground all week, and we had to take the motor off of the transfer case and manually shift into 2wd was a simple blown fuse.

What really makes me mad is that it was so obvious. I knew that fuse was for the radio, cruise control, and transfer case motor. All of those things weren't working and I couldn't put 2 and 2 together.

At least it had a good outcome, I was able to go with modified Explorers on trails that I wouldn't have been able to take in my car. Thanks to all of you guys that gave me a ride and those that helped me manually turn the transfer case.

Ok, I have a question. You said the radio wasn't working. Do you mean it was totally dead? Because I have the same problems: cruise not working, 4x4 not either and the tuner on the radio blows out the as*.

Dignan - that doesn't make sense, the radio fuse should be a seperate fuse, at least on mine... I wish we had checked that, I had plenty of spare fuses we could've slipped in. Oh well, glad to hear you got that figured out.
