My 2002 Explorer has the fancy message center the shows gas milage etc.
Unfortunately, I can't read the thing when the sun is out. It is ok when it
is overcast or night, and it does get dimmer when I turn the lights on. It is
just not bright enough to read when the sun is bright and my eyes have
adjusted to the bright sunlight.
Is this normal? It sure is a useless message center if you can't read it during
the day. The dealer says it is just like other Explorers.
Is there some mechanism that brightens up the message center when the
sun is out that maybe is broke on my Explorer?
