Curious if there is a "safe" and full proof way to disable airbags and such from accidental deployment while working on the vehicle. I have a 14 Sport but I suspect it'd be the same for all model Explorers across same feature sets at least. IS it as simple as pulling fuses and if so, has anyone tried?

Thanks!

Disconnect the Battery? At least it was safe when I changed the steering wheel on an MKX & did not get any Airbag warning lights afterwards.

Edit: Wait at least 15 minutes after disconnecting the battery to ensure that power is fully discharged.
