disadvantages of Body lift?

hey guys.. i've been wanting to add a couple more inches to my mountaineer.. I wanna do a body lift but from my friends down here they tell me its not a good idea.. they say it'll make weird noise later down the road, it'll bend my body and etc.. is that all true? I know alot of people here have bodylifts and i just wanna know how its workin for them? wut body lift do you guys have since i cant find them for my truck?

You're going to use the Performance Accessories 2" BL for the Gen 1 X's or the PA 3" BL for the Rangers and modify it to fit your truck

Never heard of a BL making noise and there is no higher chance of it bending your body than with stock mounts.

Obviously, you are raising your CG a little, so you need to drive a little more carefully.

The main disadvantage IMO is they don't look very good.

The main advantage is that you have the ability to fit larger tires, which is the only way to create more overall lift of the vehicle.

I've never had any problems at all except with the spare tire mount.

Your bumpers will obviously special brackets to relocate them, and your rear liftgate may have an inch or so of space if you dont relocate the bumper.

the biggest thing i dont like about body lifts is it really raises the center of gravity uselessly. I have a 3" bodylift on my truck. ive had it for about 6 months now and so far no problems. If there was a more viable option other than a 4" traildisaster or sas (neither of which i have the money for) Id go for that.
