Disappearing coolant.

So I have noticed that my Radiator Fluid is going down pretty quickly. About a half inch(if that) every 2 weeks or more. I haven't found any leaks, and all my fluids are their normal color. I've also been checking the exaghust pipe for smoke and nothing out of the normal. Where could the fluid be going? It's confusing the hell out of me. Could it be a pump? Time change my anti freeze? The Explorer is 1994 XL. Like I said all the other fluids in the car color are normal. What could be causing the Radiator fluid to fluctuate like this? Need your help, and thoughts.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 91-94 section. Connect a cooling system pressure tester onto it, and check for leaks.

Also, forgot to mention the gauge for the temp of the engine in borderline normal...like its just at the line for normal then will go up a bit then back down to the line. Still Cooling System Pressure Test?

This tool applies pressure into the system to force fluid out of a pin hole leak. The leak wouldn't be noticeable on a hot engine since the coolant might evaporate.

Do you smell antifreeze after driving?
Many time the Intake manifold will leak on these 'X's and it will weep down the front of the engine, around the water pump but the heat of the engine will dry it befor eit drops to the ground.
Look at the top of the waterpump area for wetness

If my temp gauge on the dash is erratic could it be a bad Temperature Sending Unit? If so I would like to look at that, where is the Temperature sending unit in the 1994 XL?

Up front. Look under the Hard pipe coming from the Thermostat housing.
Most of these cars run with the gauge point between the "N" and teh "O" in the word ' NORMAL'

It was like that up until a few days ago when the weather started getting cooler, but now I'm worried because of this loss of fluid. I'll check it out.
