I had used FORScan earlier today to get keyless entry working, turn off dark car mode and now the "Distance to E" is off, a lot. Like uh, 999 miles to E level off. Anything that I could've done to break it, or is it a common thing and fixes itself?

Did you save as As Built when you first connected?

I didn't modify anything in As Built, only in the area where forscan shows modifications already. Other posts on the forums report the same issue after enabling/disabling similar settings.

I'm sure there's a way to reset it. Disconnecting the battery for a bit could reset everything.

You can download the As Built from ForScan if you didn't save it or if your car already came modified. It just uses your vin to calculate the factory settings. I haven't come across that issue before. I'm guessing you changed a value that is used by the fuel remaining calculation.

I've done the following to the vehicle (2015 Ford Police Interceptor Utility):

- Enabled Keyless Entry
- Disabled Dark Car
- Enabled the feedback from the keyless entry remote (horn & lights)
- Enabled Compass
- Enabled Auto Locks (Disabled them because it broke the DTE, it was stuck at 999 miles to empty After disabling it is inaccurate, 90 miles to empty on a full tank.)

One of those broke the DTE calculation, someone has reported the same issue after enabling the first two settings.

What values are you changing? Are you using one of the spreadsheets being passed around? I'm sure the PIU uses different values than other models.

No, I used the "easy mode" FORScan has, I didn't use As Built to modify them.

If you want to go back to stock you need to open the module you edited (BCM or IPC I'd assume based on the descriptions) in the as-built format mode. Then at the bottom there's a button that says "Load Factory AB", hit that then hit write all, it will download the original as built data from motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt/ you can then try the options you know work again, I'm guessing someone fat fingered an option and is flicking an extra switch they shouldn't be in the BCM.

I edited BCM and IPC in the non As Built mode. I will do this tomorrow.

Keep in mind the DTE may be messed up until your first fill up after changing the setting.
I've filled up already a few times already, I let the tank get down to half before I fill again.

The button does work but the blocks don't match can I ignore that warning?
