Do all Explorers have Factory Amps?

Hi Guys,

I just purchased a 1999 Ford Explorer XLS.. I was just wondering if it had a factory amp. I'm pretty sure its not the premium sound system. It just has the regular cd player. Any help would be appreciated.

No, the 1999's do not have external amps from the factory.

I have a 94 and it didnt have anything special but a cassette deck and I didnt know I had premimum sound until I installed my new deck and didnt hear anything and then I found out I needed a special adapter for my premimum sound and after adding that the truck just rocks. The sub sounds real nice pumping thru my JBL speakers
