My dealer always runs car faxes and has you sign a form that you read it. Im happy to know that mine come from Nova Scotia. Why? My favorite show was filmed there. Also found out that one of the owners blew out the rear end and it was overhauled and all fluids were drained and changed. I believe this was at 80k miles. Sold at a few auctions. Doesn't look like the previous owners liked making their payments. Most people don't care, but I like to see the adventure my vehicles went on. Sometimes its neat, especially when yours comes from Canada and makes its way to small town Indiana. :exporange

Mine came from St Louis assembly. I must say every 03 I've seen from there has same wave in rear quarter panel above gas cap cover. Oh and the paint job is horrible from there. Wish it would have came from Kansas City assembly. Never seen the quarter panel blemish from KC Explorers.

Made in KY, been in Jersey and VA Beach, came with all kinds of clues in between the seats, was owned by a doctor and even found a phone in there with interesting photos & documents...

I'm in Australia and my 04 has that wave, i always thought previous owner must of grazed it up against something as there's no fault in the paint there, paint on the front of bonnet and roof gutters are shagged though, specially with the harsh sun we get

Mine came from KY, went to North Carolina, failed emissions in I believe 2007 with 30,000 miles, then went down to FL not too much later. I'm the third owner... Make that 4th owner :P See below

I ran a carfax on mine last year just to see. It was built in Kentucky and was a one owner in Utah before I bought it. Previous owners took fairly good care of it. It said it was a corporate car but I believe it may have been a family owned it under a business name. I am the second owner and have had some mighty adventures in it and I plan on keeping it going until I can afford a newer car in another year or two.

My 03 Limited was built in St. Louis and has spent it's whole life in Ontario. The paint is 100% original and still looks great after 12 years.

Mine was in Jersey from 02 through about 12, then in Eastern PA for a year, then in Indiana for a year before I got it... Gonna stay in IN for the foreseeable future.

OP, which "small town" are you in?
