Door Lock Actuator problem question again..

I've been told that my actuator is bad by some people, but others tell me that when an actuator is bad the actuator just will not unlock the door. But some people tell me that it is going bad, because mine unlocks it just makes a strange creaking noise but it sounds like it's just coming from the back passenger side door or the back hatch. I was told that if it needs a new actuator that it would have to come straight from the factory...is that true? (Because that doesn't sound very cheap).

Actuators go bad in doors all the time, depending on the one you need most can be found on ebay or just got to a auto salvage yard and get one from them. SHould be about $20 used, $35 new
