Hi guys , me like alot of other people i have had problems with my gas gauge and i was always told to keep it above 1/2 tank and im fine well now my gauge is getting alot worse because now if i go up a hill with the tank on the higher part it will go to empty very quickly and i figured it was probably the float was bad , so i contact a local mechanic ive know and mentioned the symptoms and he assured me it was the float
So now ive decided i probably just need to replace it before i completely dont have a gas gauge , because i put in 30 bucks the other day and normally when i put in that much it gives me close to 3/4 of a tank well it showed below 1/2 tank
My question is , versus having to pay $138 for a whole new sending unit with float and fuel pump , is there anyway to fix the float versus replacing the whole thing
