I can only find posts that are exact opposite of my issue. Let me start off saying that I loaned my explorer out a lot and I have a crap load of crazy things now that I can't quote figure out. My problem is, none of the door controls (locks or windows) except the driver's side. My remote lock and touch pad on the door doesn't work either. Does the accessory relay control this or a fuse or maybe the wiring in the door? The problem just started and looking for a starting point before tearing everything apart. Thanks in advance :)

you likely have two problems... the locks are not related to the windows. For windows, check / clean the "lockout switch" on the master. Then if that doesn't resolve the problem, check wiring in the door post for breaks... lots of posts. On the locks, likely issue is a "rotted splice" in the rear left passenger cable raceway. Again lots of posts, usually people fix by re-spicing the offending wires.

I haven't checked the wiring yet. It all quit working at the same time. I had a problem with the windows, wipers, and interior lights all not working at the same time randomly. I switched some relays around under the hood then the lock and window thing started happening soon after. The other thing seems to have stopped, but it was very random to begin with. I wasn't sure if they were all tied together. Guess I'll be digging through some wires.

I apologize for making a new post. When there are lots of posts. My doors lock fine and my windows work fine if I use the driver's door controls. I thought it might just be one specific thing instead of all the door controls except for the driver door to suddenly stop working.

no problem, I am just suggesting that there is lots of posts for both issues and that they are likely not related especially if your observations are correct about locks not working at other buttons (ie. passenger and rear cargo, plus remote). You will likely find your answers when / if you look at the door post area.

Does your door lock button at the rear liftgate work?? That is the only door lock switch that does not go thru the splice budwich menetioned. Also, because the window lock control is on the driver's door, a broken wire in the bundle between the driver's door and body could be the problem.

We were installing new speakers yesterday and I hit the window lock switch with some cleaner and that fixed that. As far as the locks, I think I've isolated the issue. I found an old thread on here that didn't have any replies. When I was putting in the new stereo, I unplugged the plugs in the cargo area trying to bypass the amp. I went to plug them in today and the alarm started going off and the fob worked but couldn't get the alarm to reset so I just unplugged it. The thread I founds was the same thing but it had been moved. It was an old thread, so now I have to figure out how to reset the alarm.
