I need to replace the bottom hinge on the drivers door. Are there any tricks to this that I should know ? I will have to pull the interior plastic panel away to access the nut inside the fender panel. I have never done this job before. I also need to replace the drivers door handle . I have done this in the past But it was a real pain. Ford now does not paint the door handles . Is it ok to use a regular spray can , should i prime it first? It is plastic. Any tips or tricks would be helpful, thanks.

Joinin this one as i have to replace both hinge pins and am scared about it

hinge

I dont believe you can just replace the pins, they are stamped in place . The hinges are $50 each from Ford. I am sure there are cheaper aftermarkets out there.

I hope this is not true, as i just bought a hinge pin kit. complete with bushings. Dont know why they would sell the pin kit if you couldnt just replace the pins. But thats my luck, if it werent for bad luck, id have none

For the door handle, wet sand it first with a fine grit.

If they sell a pin kit, then you should be all set. I wasnt sure if they were replaceable. good luck.
