Hi there, I purchased a 13 Explorer Sport about a month and a half ago and I was just wondering if anybody has had a vibration/rattling/buzzing sound when playing the stereo at moderate levels. The bass on the system is not cranked, again, at a moderate levels. I'm just wondering if anybody else has notice this issue and if so, how did you remedy this. I figured I would check here before making a trip to the dealership if it's an easy fix I can do myself. Any constructive input you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Azazell64,

If you haven't already, I recommend giving my colleagues at Ford Canada a call at 1-800-565-3673. They'll be happy to do what they can to assist.

Thanks!

Crystal

Excellent, I will do so, thank you very much. I was just hoping there was a quick fix that I could do myself as to not bother somewhere for something so small.

I recently had a slight rattle in the drivers door when driving. I only found out what the rattle was when the bolt cover behind the door handle popped out. Apparently one of the clips had bent/broken and it wasn't tight.

It's a flat plastic piece that is behind the door opener handle on the inside. (pull the handle toward you and tap on it to see if it is loose or rattles.)

Excellent, I will try that tonight. Hopefully it's something small like that. Thanks for he info.

A buddy of mine has a rattle in his door and the dealer said that the locking mechanism was defective. They replaced that for him and the rattle was gone. It really could be anything; just another possibility.

I'll have to get it looked at next time I take it in.

Not as of yet, haven't had a chance to get it out yet today, I will try after work and see if I can do the pull and tap trick and see if I can locate the noise. I will keep this updated.
