i have a 2004 4x4 explorer with the 4.6 v-8. when i get it up to about 70 to 80 mph it has a droning noise coming from underneath. it is especially bad right after you take your foot off the gas then as you lose speed the noise seems to taper off. i previously had a whining noise coming from the rear differential, but they fixed that with the ring and pinion service. just wondering if anybody else had this problem. thanks

I have the drone but mine is there between 25 and 50 mph and then goes away at higher speed. Mine is a rear hub bearing. Gonna tackle it as soon as I get a chance. I might just go ahead and do them both while I'm at it just to save the aggravation later.
