Hey guys I have a few questions. I was thinking today that I have alot of electrical stuff on my truck now. I have 2 sets of lights, 2 amplifiers , cb radio , plus the car itself. Should I add another battery or a new alternator? If i need 2 batterys ( I dont think thats spelled right) how would I wire these up ? and If anyone has added another battery What all would I need to wire them I need wire sizes and stuff to please so I know what to get. Thanks for the help everyone.

From what you discribed, you don't need a second battery. But if do like to play your music with your engine off then a second battery is what you need. You will need the following:

2 batteries (duh)
1 battery tray
1 Isolator
1 Higher Amp Alternator
0 or 2 gauge wires

... I'm sure there's more little miscellaneous stuff but I can't think of them right now. When you order the Isolator, you should get the instruction on how to wire the 2 batteries up.

Good luck!

Dual Batteries

Here is a little writeup on the site. Hope this helps.

In my dual battery kit it says i need to run a new wire from the starter solienoid to the new solienoid, What wire on the starter relay goes to the starter, I found the relay on the passenger side inner fender but it has half a dozen wires coming from it.
